Mudam Luxembourg Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean,is recruiting a Publications Manager.

Mudam Luxembourg– Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean opened in 2006 in a purpose-built building designed by the renowned Sino-American architect I. M. Pei and located in the Park Draï Eechelen, overlooking the historic city of Luxembourg. Through its collection, exhibitions, programmes and partnerships, Mudam Luxembourg aims to advance its mission to present the most relevant art of our times.

Mudam is looking to recruit a dynamic editorial manager to oversees the museum’s publishing programme. Reporting to the head of communication the publications manager works closely with curatorial and programme teams of the museum and has responsibility for a publications assistant.

Type of contract: Full-time permanent (40 hours).
Starting date: immediate.

Principle Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordination and monitoring of production of catalogues for the Mudam collection and temporary exhibitions,
  • Establishment of contracts / production agreements,
  • Management of authorizations, copyrights,
  • Editorial support for the museum’s educational and communication departments
  • Definition and establishment of partnerships with publishers,
  • Prospecting and development of distribution networks,
  • Planning and coordination of marketing activities,
  • Analysis and monitoring of performance of distribution networks, marketing activities.

 

Profile:

 

  • A graduate in the field of publishing, literature or applied foreign languages, the successful candidate will have minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing editorial projects.
  • Knowledge and interest in contemporary art.
  • Significant experience in internal and external team management and coordination.
  • Excellent writing skills in French and English (fluency in German considered an asset).
  • Good command of In Design.
