Syscape # ELO

For the purpose of the exhibition ELO: Inner Exile - Outer Limits, Eric Schockmel (1982) put together a selection of computer animation scenes, which was shown in the Medialab of Mudam. Through putting details and excerpts from satellite images into motion in a digital context, the artist endeavours to find a language suited to this relatively new technology, while also expressing his interest in the role these images play in contemporary politics.
