Launched as part of the initiative of the association “d'stater muséeën” in 1998, the annual Luxembourg Museum Days has expanded to 40 museums in the Grand Duchy. All these museums open their doors free of charge for a spring weekend.

DANCE SIXFOLD

With: Elisabeth Schilling
SIXFOLD by German choreographer and dancer Elisabeth Schilling takes its audience to a journey between categories and disciplines, with a sculpture by visual artist and designer Alexander Ruth and a soundtrack by composer and filmmaker Phill Niblock and artist William 'Bilwa' Costa.

POETRY READING SERIES

Luxembourg actor Maximillien Jadin reads a selection of poems and texts in immediate vicinity of Katinka Bock’s sculptures. This series of readings explores how Katinka Bock’s work resonates with the words of great poets such as George Oppen, William Carlos Williams and contemporary writers.

PUBLIC SCREENING BREATHING EARTH – SUSUMU SHINGU’S DREAM

80-year-old Japanese artist Susumu Shingu talks with nature through his sculptures. His lifelong dialogue with wind and water has given the world uniquely beautiful works of fluid, unpredictable and ever-changing movement. Thomas Riedelsheimer accompanies this quiet and unassuming man in pursuit of a dream, a quest to create an awareness of our planet, our breathing earth and our human values.
